A half day experience in our purpose built welcoming glass studio at The House of Marbles Bovey Tracey.
Create some beautiful pieces of Stained glass art with us, designing and making flowers, blooms or leaves, to start a bouquet of everlasting flowers to keep adding to, as your love of this fabulous craft grows. Made full of texture and colour and ready to shine in the sunlight, the choice is yours.
What is Tiffany Stained Glass?
Tiffany stained glass is a timeless art form made famous by Louis Comfort Tiffany in the late 1800s. It involves cutting colourful pieces of glass, wrapping their edges in copper foil, and then soldering them together to create detailed, glowing works of art — from lampshades and windows to decorative panels and more.
What makes Tiffany stained glass special is its incredible detail and the way light brings the colours to life. It’s not just about putting glass together — it’s about painting with light.
In our course, you’ll learn how to design, cut, foil, and solder your own stained glass pieces using the traditional Tiffany method. Whether you’re a total beginner or looking to expand your creative skills, this hands-on craft is both relaxing and deeply rewarding!
This half-day in-person course gives you an opportunity to choose which design to use, learn how to cut, foil and solder all under qualified expert tuition using the best tools and glass available. We will have a tea or coffee break with biscuits (of course)
Your finished work will be completed and ready to take home with you at the end of your day with us.
All abilities welcome (Over 16s only) Due to restricted space we cannot accommodate spectators in the studio area, children or dogs.
