Berserks Glass Gallery and Working Studio based at The House of Marbles Bovey Tracey, is an incredible new opportunity to experience all things glass. Along with our other workshop, an old barn surrounded by our rambling cottage garden on the edge of Dartmoor, the possibilities to bring a little Devon creativity into your world are endless. Come and find us in our Gallery, Dawn and Matt, being arty and designery, having wide ranging random discussions, packing, oh my goodness the packing, cutting glass, teaching classes and making.
A typical day in our new gallery/studio involves lots of tea drinking, biscuits, teaching, classes and courses, chatting, plenty of glass making and meeting you all.
A gentle, encouraging and creative kind of life, uncomplicated most of the time, but full of hard work, the outdoors, friends, family and a campervan called Phoebe.
Handmade Happiness
Conjuring up creative vibes on scraps of paper, receipts and napkins in cafes, dog walk chats on Dartmoor, heated differences of opinion over bacon sandwiches in the Campervan by the sea, to tea and cake in the garden workshop, once a smidge of an idea grabs one of us, the bits of paper, glass and discussions fly in all directions until we figure it all out and produce something we are sure is going to look just gorgeous in your home or a beautiful gift.
Kiln times, temperatures, mixing different mediums, textures and colours added to liberal amounts of new discovery, eccentricity and laughter result in unique pieces fused with the magic of handmade, the essence of Devon and our passion for all things glass.
